The NJSGC Annual Affiliate Meeting on May 1, 2020, 9:00 a.m. was held virtually, via Webex.
The NJSGC Annual Academic Year Poster Session on May 1, 2020, 1:00 p.m., has been cancelled. Instead, we will upload the posters to the NJSGC web site, together with pictures of participating students.
Below is the guidance that was sent to the Academic Year Fellows:
Dear New Jersey Space Grant Consortium Academic Year Fellows,
As you know, the Coronavirus has affected our lives greatly and has forced closure of campuses nationwide. As such, we are unable to host the Academic Year Fellow Poster Session anywhere in the state this year and need to cancel it. I, as Director, as well as all my colleagues and your advisors, are very disappointed that we won’t be able to see your research and celebrate your successes.
What we will do instead is the following:
1) You will send to NJSGC your final report and poster. Send both documents in pdf format. Please also send a picture of yourself in jpg format. We have extended the deadline of submission to May 20, 2020. Please send to Ms. Sherry Lam (email@example.com).
2) NJSGC will post your pictures and posters online on our web site, for a virtual poster session.
3) Your stipend will be mailed to you after we receive all three documents.
Again, I am very sorry that we are cancelling the poster session. In my over 10 years of involvement with Space Grant, the academic year poster session has always been my favorite activity.
