New York City Research Initiative Conference, July 2010

The New York City Research Initiative Program (NYCRI), a program of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), annually sponsors high school students, undergraduate college students and high school teachers for the purpose of increasing the number of students in the STEM pathway (pipeline) by providing research and classroom experiences "as only NASA can". During 2010, the annual research conference for the summer program was held at CCNY on July 29th where groups of students presented their research. The New Jersey Space Grant Consortium is a proud sponsor of NYCRI. This year NJSGC sponsored three research groups. Two conducted their research at Stevens Institute of Technology and one group worked at Rutgers. Shown in the pictures are students hosted and funded by the New Jersey Space Grant Consortium.
