Jesse Stevenson, Chris Blackwood, Prof. Joseph S. Miles, Arun Aruliothi, John Anticev, Nathan Tahbaz, Michael Moschetti, (seated) Doug Sholander, Roger Kleinmann and, Robert Fea recently returned from the annual Rock-SAT-C launch. Other team members, not pictured, consist of Prof. Nicholaus Parziale, Andrew Isherwood, Miklos Nyary, and Ethan Hayon. The team constructed a sounding rocket payload utilizing a pressure sensor to measure turbulent and laminar air flow over the nosecone of the rocket. Additionally, the team conducted a second experiment to test the operation of a 3-D printer in space. After six years in operation, it is safe to say Stevens Institute of Technology has a sounding rocket program led by Prof. Miles. The team transported the payload to Wallops Island, Virginia, and NASA launched it approximately 75 miles into space on Friday June 24, 2016. See videos:
