The New York City Research Initiative (NYCRI) Research Summit was held Friday, August 8, 2014, in the Great Hall, inside Shepard Hall, at City College, in New York City. Students conducted summer research on robotics at Rutgers University and Stevens Institute of Technology. They were mentored by Prof. Haim Baruh and Prof. Joseph S. Miles. Each of the teams built their own robots, wrote research papers on the results of their findings, and made several oral presentations.
The NJSGC Annual Summer Research Conference was held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) Auditorium at Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey. Approximately twenty summer research fellows conducted research at NJSGC affiliate institutions through various NJSGC sponsored programs participated in the conference and made presentations to faculty, parents, and invited guests. A poster session was held for all attendees.
Representatives from colleges and universities in New Jersey met on April 25, 2014 to discuss NJSGC plans and goals. Dr. Haim Baruh led a power point presentation.

The NJSGC Annual Summer Research Conference was held on Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) Auditorium at Rutgers University, 100 Brett Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854. Sixteen summer research fellows conducted research at NJSGC affiliate institutions through various NJSGC sponsored programs, as well as four students whose research was supported by their enrolled academic institution, participated in the conference and made presentations to faculty, parents, and invited guests.

Each of the teams built their own robots, wrote research papers on the results of their findings, and made several oral presentations.
Ethan Hayon, Mike Giglia, Professor Joseph Miles, Jeremy Simoes and Dan Huber recently returned from the Rock-SAT-C program. They worked on a sounding rocket payload developing a Fiber Optic Gyroscope and a Thermoelectric Generator over the last year. They transported the payload to Wallops Island, Virginia and launched it approximately 75 miles into space on Thursday June 20th, 2013. They are currently analyzing the data. Mark Siembab, Jason Robins, Andrew Cupo, Palash Mehta, Andrew Deutchman, Anthony DiGirolamo and Thomas DeGirolamo were also part of the team.

2012 Mid-Atlantic Regional Space Grant Meeting was held in Philadelphia, Pa on September 20, 21 and 22, 2012.
Prof. Haim Baruh of Rutgers University presented the annual consortium update for New Jersey. This was followed by a presentation of one of New Jersey's programs, the Rock-SAT-C program for 2011-2012. A presentation was given by Prof. Miles, Mr. Ethan Hayon, Mr. Mark Siembab, and Mr. Mike Giglia; all from Stevens Institute of Technology.
